Induction Pipe 2 Hole Gasket

Postby sonex293 » Wed Feb 25, 2015 8:00 pm

Has anyone found a easily sourced replacement for the "Gasket Induction Pipe 2 Bolt Flange" Jabiru PN: 4A191A0D

This seems like a part there should be an easy replacement for.

Agree,

sounds like the sort of gasket that is easily found. if i had an old one I would pop round to the local halfords.co.uk and attempt to match it up to car exhaust gasket part. should not take too long and with so many different modes, it should be relatively easy to do. why not fire me a drawing with dimensions and/or better still and old one and i can then attempt to match one up.

Here's a photo of the gasket with a ruler sitting on top...

In inches it's a 1.25 inch whole, with a 1.75 inch bolt hole spacing.

Here's another shot taken 90 degrees. Here you can see where the gasket breaks out. The gasket is 1.25mm thick or 0.05 inches thick.

if you buy the material you could get them water or laser cut out. I suspect they are from a car as you would not re-invent the wheel. there is tons on ebay.
typical material from a 2 min search

From my experiences of trying to make exhaust gaskets, i would agree that commercial cutting is the way to go.
