I think the failure is due to not being in balance and not tracking straight when you land, tyre pulls over and nips the tube.
thinking back at both my recent failures, both were in a x wind and I landed not straight both times, 1 was a defiant slide, the other probably
both punctures were on the same axle and both times the same x wind direction. not a mark on the tyres but tubes gone near the valve
Jabiru 450 UL
Engine serial 1041
1 CHT sensor on No 4 under plug
No Exhaust temp sensors
No glass panel
No xponder
Microair radio
No bells and whistles
Its been like this for 13 years, what I cannot see I cannot worry about in flight.....

I've found that the tubes from the UK Jab spares supplier do not stay up for very long.
They need pumping up every couple of weeks nowadays, whereas the old Cheng Shin tubes seemed to retain pressure for a very long time.
Has anyone else found this?

Now you mention it, I am always having to top up my tyres. All my tubes are from Skycraft.

Gday guys.........BEST tyre, made by trelliborg ( T510 ) and it's 10 ply. Fits under spats ( just ). I swear by them.
