In the archive, there is a message saying that the jabiru starter motor is based on a standard unit, that has a modified end attached to it to fit the engine.
This is interesting. Is there any chance of finding out what the standard product starter motor is, it would be really useful to know, as I'm unable to find out from the information printed on the existing motor body.

thanks for the information on this matter. My starter motor is the Bosch model. Does anyone know if the Toyota body fits the Jabiru clutch/bendix assembly that's used on the Bosch model?
