Thanks for this, interesting. Just a side note, the bolts in the image are shanked so confused which it is.

Would be good if Skycraft as the uk agent could post something on the latest JSB, even if it is to drum up business for them

Hi Gary,
I can't find any reference to new UK suppliers. Only a reference on the Jabiru Oz site to the effect that anyone in the EU can buy Jabiru parts from any EU Jabiru agent, and that every EU agent can sell to anyone in any EU country (not just their dealership country as defined by Jabiru)

I though I read a posting somewhere from someone saying he bought spares from a German distributor because they were cheaper, but who are the two new alternative suppliers you mentioned?

Bob, thanks, I think your post maybe for another string, unless a bit confused. I posted about the bolts reqd and Matt asked about the JSB it was on
I have since found that they are umbrako 1960 series 12.9 1 1/4" long full thread hex skt. The french site shows a shank on them though. In the jab maint manual I have seen 2 images, 1 showing shanked and 1 showing full thread. Confused
Cheers

Confusion over the shank:
Unbrako capscrews of the 1 1/4" size are full thread. To get a shank you can obtain longer ones and have the extra thread removed. They might have been 1 3/4" it was a long time ago. This was done by the NZ dealer for us if requested - he did it locally not thru Jabiru who as far as we know just supplied the threaded bolts. It doesnt make any difference to their breaking properties, but does make sense to have a flat shank locating the parts in the assembly especially where there are no dowels fitted.
