Hi having some interference with my radio and have found that one of the push to talk wires is to earth. is this right??

Would not of thought so, but check the schematic of your radio, this will tell you
Jabiru 450 UL
Engine serial 1041
1 CHT sensor on No 4 under plug
No Exhaust temp sensors
No glass panel
No xponder
Microair radio
No bells and whistles
Its been like this for 13 years, what I cannot see I cannot worry about in flight.....

The PTT wire should go to earth, but only when you press the PTT button. When the PTT button is not depressed, the wire should be open circuit.

Ok so mine is ok then cause I disconnected the PTT sw and one of the wires was to earth....
so I,ll elsewhere for the interference ..

What sort of interference is it (i.e. clicking noise, whining noise etc)?
