Finally.. Mine are still fine, now check every 5 hrs.

I have not looked at the latest manual yet, so what torque figures do they give when using the nordlocs

Now reviewed the manual, the torque change is now 29 Ft Lbs from 24, mine are at 24 and all checks done to that. I assume then on the next check to nip them now to 29. Not sure if this new figure will help anything, and just make the nord dig into the flywheel

Deano, what did yoy do yours too and have you gone up to the 29 figure

I use nordlock X series and I think 29ft/lbs is high.

Note that jabiru specs are for standard nordlocks not nordlock X ...

At that torque nordlock X are well squashed and have probably lost their efficacy! Additionally, if you use lube, 24 or around that is likely to be close to 29 without lube.

Middle of the road for me at 26 ft/lbs which is a little more but not too much!

Gary - You were the first one to propose this mod. I am surprised that although many have had recognition in the hall of fame including our infamous friend, you have had zilch .... Goes to show!

Im on nord x series with lube, so will leave as is, if its not broke etc, not seen the hall of fame, i remember an expert saying the flywheel will fall off without 620 on it if you use those washers............
