No it is not.

Put them next to each other and you will see that they are different. The BS has a metal plate that is part if the filter while the jab filter does not. There is an aluminium plate that covers the back of the filter. That may result in filter not sitting in correct position when it is fitted and result in the filter or carb air inlet being partly obstructed. Additionally, the flow characteristics could be a lot different due to the density and configuration (number of folds) of material that is used.

Considering the few extra quid for the original jabiru part, I would not go for the B&S.

Thanks, I re-used the metal plate from the old airfilter, visually I cannot tell the new and the old apart, size/folds etc, that said it's possible the old was sourced from B&S also so they would appear the same. Thanks again for the advice.
